Yes, if the body, interior, and running gear were decent, because it would make nice with an upgraded diesel install which would allow it to last for another 25 damn good years.

A Hilux is ok, but if you're going through the import hassles, do it properly, LC70.

I'd go for the Tacoma simply because of the creature comforts.... It's a truck, after all and it's meant for hauling shit so I'd also prefer the Tacoma's better payloads on top of the newer safety stuff
